    Papoose Felt Washing Instruction:

For Liquid Spills: Wool is naturally water repellent and if spills are dealt with immediately the wool will not absorb much liquid. How to clean: Dab liquid with damp cloth, repeat with clean dry cloth, allow item to dry.

For dust and other dirt: Due to the scales of the wool structure, dust is trapped in the outer layers of the wool and can therefore be easily cleaned.

How to clean: * If the item is large and flat, it can be vacuumed. * If the item is smaller and dirty, wash it gently by hand in warm water with wool soap. Dry out of direct sunlight. Do not over-agitate the item during the wash as this will create additional felting.

DO NOT soak, machine wash or put anything in the dryer. This will shrink and distort the item.

NOTE: Plush toys will take longer to dry, so make sure items are completely dry before using again. It is advisable to surface clean rather than immersing them completely in water.

Some facts about wool: Wool is natural and renewable because it grows on sheep. The wool is flame retardant up to 600 degrees C. Wool is biodegradable and can be used as a fertilizer due to its high nitrogen content. Wool is non-allergenic and does not support the growth of bacteria.
